Flagg Chapel Missionary Society was formed in 1932 and has continued to grow in number as well as services to those in our communities. Since being in existence, it has been evident that there has been and still is strong leadership and members who work tirelessly to answer the call of those in need residing throughout the communities of Baldwin County and beyond. In addition to being of service to individual families, the Missionaries are active with various ministries [Worship Service at Nursing homes (Milledgeville and Gray, GA), the monthly Senior Citizens Fellowship Luncheon, the Thanksgiving Dinner Program (A.M. Boddie – Chapter #756), Foreign Mission Support (Coast of Africa), St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Adopt-A-Family, and Christmas Grocery Box (assisting the Benevolent Club Members].
The Junior Missionaries have been actively serving for over sixteen (16) years under the leadership of Senior Missionary Advisors. Their activities include providing aid to foreign mission by sending shoeboxes filled with Christmas items (toiletries, toys, socks, etc.); these items are purchased with pennies donated throughout the year (every penny counts). Additionally, the Junior Missionaries deliver baskets, handmade crafts, and greeting cards to the elderly during the holiday season. Finally, they play a great part in the monthly services for the residents at the nursing homes.
As the work continues, the members of the Missionary do not hesitate to remain spiritually grounded. They are actively involved in several conventions [i.e., Milledgeville Baldwin County Interdenominational Association of Churches (newly formed/2019), Second Middle Georgia Ushers and Missions Convention, the General Missionary Baptist Convention (6th District), etc.]
